Every third road service car operated by Autoliitto, the Finnish Drivers' Association, is now equipped with a MICA lamp.

AutoliittoAutoliitto's Training Manger, Mr. Teijo Poutanen receives 60 pcs MICA IL-60 lamps from Product Manager, Mr. Kaarle Ceder.

Offering its services to all drivers in Finland, the nationwide Finnish drivers' organization, Autoliitto ry., bought 60 new rechargeable MICA IL-60 lamps last summer. Complementing earlier purchases, Autoliitto now has a total of 135 cars, that is, every third of its road service units equipped with a multifunction MICA lamp.

This extremely powerful lamp developed for professional use is a good companion to the tool set of road service cars, whose equipment must endure the reputably harsh weather conditions of Finland. As all of us have experienced, it is a nasty habit of cars to break down just when the cold makes everything freeze or the falling rain beats like whiplashes! Luckily, the tools of Autoliitto's road service cars are selected to perform the most demanding operations in field conditions, and herein MICA lamps are most handy when a car in distress must be refuelled or started by jumper cables, which are the most typical remedies. The MICA lamps purchased by Autoliitto include a red filter that can be switched on to warn other drivers of the ongoing service operation.

Further information on the volunteer road service activity supported by Autoliitto can be found on the association's home page www.autoliitto.fi.
